but why can't it start after mfg. warranty expires? That would be a much better value.
Nice TV 
Great TV. I was worried about the glare issue because I have it in a room that has a lot of windows. But the glare is no worse than the CRT tv I had. Not an issue. Great picture right out of the box. I only have it hooked up to the off air Hi Def signal(Direct TV in 2 weeks) but the sports are awsum.Football games wow. It's a great tv. I had to turn down the intensity(Put to power-saving mode medium) easier on the eyes.Just trying to figure out what surround sound receiver to get.
Its Cheaper that B&M stores 
I have not used this one for my Samsung LCD tv yet. But its lot cheaper than what my local best buy offered me.
Before You Buy?
I recently purchased a samsung three year extended service plan for lcd tv. Only to find out it begins date of purchase. You get one year from manufacturer,which covers first year,leaving you only two years on your three year warranty. How's that for a surpise? Pay for three get two.
Unnecessary if you purchase HDTV with a credit card 
Check with your credit card company. They typically double the original manufacturer warranty up to one year, meaning that if you bought a Samsung HDTV with a credit card, you will receive an additional year of coverage.
In other words, you'd be paying $200+ for just one more year. Bad deal.
