Battery life will vary based on wireless usage, such as shopping the Kindle Store and downloading content. In low coverage areas or in 1xRTT only coverage, wireless usage will consume battery power more quickly. Whispernet utilizes Amazon's optimized technology plus Sprint's national high-speed (3G) data network to enable you to wirelessly search, discover, and download content on the go. Your books and periodicals are delivered via Whispernet in less than 60 seconds. And unlike WiFi, you never have to hunt for a hotspot.

Impressively easy to buy books from anywhere
The screen is bright and suitable for reading in any light conditions. The ease of acquiring books and upload to my account is impressive. Need improve the enviroment for others readings format.
Kindle is Awesome 
I received my Kindle, as ordered, when Amazon said it would be delivered. It is very easy to use and even easier to download books. I am not very computer savy, but this device is so easy to use that I immediately downloaded a few books and have been reading ever since.
I read an average of three to four books a week and the Kindle makes this even easier. I take my Kindle with me everywhere. I can read during breaks at work, or while waiting for appointments and carpoolers. The device's battery lasts a long time - I charge it weekly even though I have not gone below half power yet.

I had been looking at the Kindle for a year. I had looked at the Sony Reader and the Nook as well. I was a little nervous about buying a reader since I am a "book" person...something about turning a page. Anyway, I took the plunge and bought the Kindle on Friday 3/12/10. I had it shipped overnight so I had it on Saturday. After I charged the battery I was ready to go.(You can still read / navigate while battery is charging) I was instantly in love!
The Kindle is so easy to navigate and I had two books purchased in a matter of seconds and was off and reading. And the best part: I didn't even have to leave the comfort of my recliner.
A friend from work ask me to bring it on on Monday so we could compare readers since she has the Sony reader. She has made mention several times that she my return the Sony and buy a Kindle.
AWESOME!!!
The perfect gift for my wife! She hasn't put it down in two weeks! As long I keep downloading the books for her, she stays occupied. Buying her the Kindle has seroiusly increased my Xbox time!
