Britain's Got Talent winner Paul Potts has spent most of his life feeling 'insignificant'. Bullied at school for being 'different', he realized growing up that he had one true friend and that was his voice. Singing was his escape. He was able to lose himself in his own little world - the vicious words of his tormentors replaced by hauntingly beautiful lyrics and melodies that lifted his heart and spirit. It was a love, a passion, a lifeline that would follow Paul into adulthood and help him through many more periods of adversity.
Though it's fair to say that when Paul strolled awkwardly - almost apologetically - onto the Cardiff stage for his first Britain’s Got Talent audition a week before that final, in his now infamous £35 Tesco suit, and announced to Simon and fellow judges Amanda Holden and Piers Morgan that he was going to sing opera, they never thought for one minute they were looking at their winner. Until he opened his mouth and started to sing.

Love Paul Potts
I knew I would love this cd & boy, was I right! He has a wonderful voice
Paul Potts new album One Chance
My daughter convinced me to start an Amazon wish list, which I did. The Paul Potts C.D., One Chance, was one of my selections, which my daughter promptly sent me as a gift. I have played it several times a day since its arrival. My most favorite piece of all time is Nessun Dorma which is the very first selection on this album and I am not disappointed in Mr. Potts' rendition. I saw him on Britains Got Talent and have been a fan ever since. What a wonderful voice, I am so pleased at his success and with this album. It may not be as perfect and polished as some other albums I have but it is his story and the beauty, power and emotion that I can hear and feel in his singing that truly affects me. Between this and Susan Boyles album I have a day filled with music that touches my heart and fills my soul. How greatful I am to the people who discovered them and made their talents available to all of us. I just hope that the commercializing of them doesn't ruin their natural abilities, doesn't restrict or restrain that raw power and emotion that was there the first time I heard them both sing.
I simply love this album and am looking forward to more.
Smoothest Tenor Ever
I first heard Paul Potts at the home of a friend (voice teacher) on her video of Britain's Got Talent. I was spellbound. He has the smoothest and most beautiful tenor voice I've ever heard and I've purchased his first two CDs from Amazon. Very few days go by that we miss listening to them. I wish he would make a CD of classical hymns and Irish ballads.
Paul Potts - Magnificent - I listen to the CD regularly
I saw him on Britain's Got talent. When I saw him come on the stage, I had the same opinion that the judges had, he is going to be terrible, especially when he said he was going to sing opera. What a surprise!!!! If anyone out there loves opera they should get this CD. Listen to him then listen to Pavarotti (Paul is not as good as-but still his voice is great).

Here you go, the new kid on the block and sweeping the country away with his voice. If you collect classical and opera, this is the one for you.
