Absolutely Outstanding & Inspiring!
Love this (older) Christmas CD. A genuine classic. His voice is phenomenal and the renditions are all excellent.
Favorite Chistmas Album
I finally found this CD which was my favorite Christmas 33 1/3 lp back in the late 50's. I especially like the way Johnny sings The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire). Nat King Cole was good, but I have not found any Christmas CD that is as good as this one.
#1 Christmas Fave
For those of us who grew up in the 70's, this album will truly take you back to memories of childhood holidays spent laying under the Christmas tree, staring up at huge, Snoopy-like (commercial like on the doghouse) multicolored bulbs on the tree (before everyone went to just white lights). You can taste the eggnog and Danish butter cookies with this one. The addition of that strange song is the only drawback, in my opinion. Why reinvent the wheel? Besides that, just as you remember it.
Best. Christmas. Album. Ever.
Not a big JM fan. So when I tell you that, yes, this IS the best Christmas album ever, you can believe me. JM went on to make several more Christmas records, but this is by far the best. Percy Faith's arrangements set the standard. Literally. You will hear echoes from this recording everywhere, because THIS IS HOW CHRISTMAS IS SUPPOSED TO SOUND. Hammer, meet Nail.

One of the All-Time Essential Christmas Discs
Plain and simple, this album is a classic. Johnny's vocals are perfectly augmented by the unmistakable strings of Percy Faith's orchestra.
Johnny wonderfully summarizes the entire album during Silver Bells when he sings:

It may bring parties or thoughts devotional
What ever happens or what may be
